Our client, an industry leading high growth organisation who specialise in engineering and manufacturing, are looking for an Electronic Repair Technician to join their growing team in Gloucester. You will be responsible for the fault diagnosis and return to service of various electronic products, ensuring that the finished product conforms to exacting quality standards.

RESPONSIBILTIES

  • As an Electronic Technician you will inspect and diagnose fault finding of various electronic products
  • Assemble, test, and inspect various mechanical/electronic products using complex diagnostic tests and methodologies.
  • Undertake analytical fault-finding to determine the root cause and corrective action of failed products.
  • Identify and undertake required repair to return product to required standard.
  • Effective use and maintenance of systems and records to ensure service standards are achieved always (use of ERP/MRP, Database and IT systems)
  • Ensure all assembly, test and repair functions are completed to the necessary quality standards.
  • Working with key stakeholders at all levels, use and develop technical and business skills and knowledge to support new business and adoptions integrations.

 

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

  • As an Electronic Technician you will have previous experience in electronic fault-finding, aerospace experience desirable but other industries are transferable
  • Experience using detailed engineering drawings and other technical records
  • Demonstratable understanding of the principles and theory of electronics/mechanics within an engineering function
  • A recognised vocational qualification in electronics engineering, equivalent to ONC/HNC or time served relevant experience without formal qualifications
  • Self-starter who excels at working under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Confident communicator and always looking to actively seek change and ways to improve current processes.
