FACILITIES MANAGER
MANCHESTER
£53,000 - £71,000

A market leader across transport systems, are looking for a Facilities Manager to manage maintenance, services, and product delivery from the Manchester depot. You will be responsible for site infrastructure, plant, and equipment, whilst enabling safe and cost effective delivery of maintenance and staff facilities.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING

As a Facilities Manager your key duties will include:

  • Planning and recording the execution of reactive maintenance, overhaul, and renewal, of infrastructure assets
  • Managing certification, calibration and maintenance of equipment related to plant and infrastructure
  • Ensuring the business adheres to UK legislations, local authority planning conditions, consents, and environmental obligations, and investigate incidents occurred
  • Managing a cost forecast of infrastructure maintenance and identify necessary overhauls and renewals
  • Monitoring subcontractor progress through the company procurement process and cross site reviews
  • Liaising with suppliers to coordinate their activities and ensure risk assessments and method statements are provided
  • Managing the daily operations in line with the business’ health and safety procedures

WHAT YOU’LL NEED

To be considered for the Facilities Manager role, you must have:

  • Experience in a Facilities Management role
  • An ONC Engineering Qualification or experience in a similar role
  • A working knowledge of facility technical issues and relevant industry legislation
  • Great communication and IT skills
  • Previous experience in managing people is preferred
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
